Field Descriptions

• Reference Name: Mandatory name of a reference and must be unique.
• Version: Mandatory version number for the reference.
• Link: Optional external web link to source of reference.
• File Path: Optional file name, including fully qualified path to reference genome file.

Add a New Reference

1. Select Define | References from the menu bar. A list of existing references display on the left-hand side of the form. Export exports a text file of the references listed.
2. Enter the reference name in the Reference Name field. The reference name must be unique.
3. Enter a version number(required: e.g. v1, v2) associated with the reference genome. 
4. Optional to link to an external website, and a local file path into the applicable fields.
5. Click Add New.  A confirmation message displays with successful request, and the name of the new reference displays on the left-hand side of the form.

Update an Existing Reference

1. Select Define | References from the menu bar. A list of existing references display on the left-hand side of the form.
2. Select the reference you want to edit from the left-hand side of the page.
3. Edit any applicable fields.
4. Click Update.  A confirmation message displays with successful update.
